Exposure Shorts on your iPod!

As some of you may have already noticed, there has been some changes to the exposureshorts.co.uk website.

Since everyone (and their dog) got an iPod for Christmas, and the ever increasing popularity of 'podcasts' - we thought it would be a good idea to take advantage of this new distribution medium.

Behold! The Exposure Shorts Video Podcast

For those of you who aren't aware of how podcasts work... its goes like this...

On the Exposure Shorts website, there is a newsfeed (RSS) - this can be subscribed to through iTunes (literally drag-n-drop it in). When we update the newsfeed, the latest videos will be automatically downloaded by iTunes, (and copied to your iPod - if you've got one).

If you don't have an iPod, then fear not - you can watch the films either through iTunes or the latest version of QuickTime player.

We've already sourced enough films for the initial 5-week run (1 video per week), but in order to keep this going, we are going to need more films...

If you're interested in having your film on the podcast, then get in touch! Currently we're looking for films that are under 10 minutes and of good production quality.

are you going to be taking the previous exposure volumes and recompressing them for iPod? if it's a matter of filmmaker permission, you have permission for everything I submitted to volume 1,2,3 ... and 4.

Exposure Shorts is now live on iTunes!

Get the latest version and then go to the Apple Music Store and type exposure into the search.

In order to keep this going we are going to need more films to put out (and have people watch them).

Yes, we do have the films from the early exposure dvd's but we don't want to put a slew of films on by one maker at one time. We need to fill in the gaps!

So, hence the call out for more films. We know you have them! Get them to us.

All we need is a good quality copy and a link to download it from. If you have Quicktime you can encode it to the required size yourself using the the export to iPod function in the menu.

Remember this is WORLD WIDE EXPOSURE. This isn't just playtime. We want to see this work. But to do that, we're gonna need films, your films and now.

I also want to add that althought Kigo and I have put a lot of the leg-work into getting this video-podcast off the ground... Exposure Shorts IS still about the films by this forum's members... so please feel free to get involved!

oh, and I think Kigo should have added this image to his posting!
